Using a strict $300 makeover budget, my husband and I reconfigured a number of our rooms over the weekend,

turning our transformed 19- by 19-foot two-car garage into an art-making haven. This called regarding getting imaginative

and producing do with present home furniture pieces from elsewhere in the house.Handmade Abstract Painting  The complete cost of my garage area

makeover, including two gallons of paint and 4 dining chairs, was $274. 23.

BEFORE: Previously we utilized this space, the former garage, as a TV area and catchall for toys. The whole room

sensed dingy and dim. Our husband used to call this particular "the room of squalor and filth. "

The particular previous homeowner had converted the garage,Abstract Painting On Canvas
filling in the particular garage door, installing carpeting and lining the particular

wall space with faux wood. Since he did it himself, there's no insulation, and the walls don't proceed all the way to

the floor in areas, making me contend along with spiders and geckos from times. The homeowner stated it cost him about

$600 to convert the garage a few years ago.
Every design selection in my house will be dictated by budget. Now i'm a work-at-home freelance designer raising two

children, plus every room has come together using finds through thrift stores, Craigslist and even bulk trash. I

frequently work on considerable art pieces, and my office,Oversized Canvas Art
which doubled as a guest room, had been just too small. I

needed more square video.
The garage is not really insulated, which can sometimes be a challenge in the hot Texas summers and cool winters. The particular

corner swamp cooler frequently comes to the recovery. The sofa makes a comfortable seating and conversation area for when

I web host clients and workshops.

Many of the furniture is secondhand from thrift shops,Extra Large Contemporary Art  therefore the pieces have a frayed, timeworn feel. The particular gold

brocade barrel-back chair is torn out on the sides, but layering on a faux sheepskin and graphic pillow gave

it new life.

When Now i'm working in my studio, I enjoy having guide books and beautiful items available to spur the

imagination. The coffee table, a repurposed piano counter, holds an arrangement of a potted golden pothos vine,

books and artwork pieces.

I created the corner workstation that includes our library using bookcases that have followed me around considering that

college. The little ottoman stores toys for our 3-year-old, who often ties me while I function. I rigged two

necklace lamps over my table using plant hooks plus an extra-long extension wire.

Tip: Stay organized with two clipboards, like the particular types hanging on the particular wall near my table. One has my to-do list

for the current day, and the other offers my to-do list with regard to the following day.
